HMS Ariel 26th September 1911 Part of the 1st Flotilla from 1911-12 joining the Grand Fleet in 1914 until 1916. Transferred to the 3rd Battle Squadron. Converted to minelayer in 1917 and served with 20th Flotilla. She rammed and sunk U12 near Aberdeen on 10th March 1915 along with HMS Attack and HMS Acheron. Mined and sunk on 2nd August 1918.  She was one of two Thornycroft Specials.
HMS Badger 11th July 1911 Part of the 1st Flotilla from 1911-12 joining the Grand Fleet in 1914 until 1916. Transferred to the 3rd Battle Squadron. Rammed a German U-boat off the Dutch Coast damaging her her bows. Sold for breaking in May 1921. She was one of two Parsons Specials.

HMS Contest

HMS Shark 30th July 1912 Joined the 4th Flotilla on completion and served with the Grand Fleet on the outbreak of war. Summer 1916 she was at the Humber, moving to Portsmouth later and then in 1917 to Devonport. Sunk on 31st May 1916 at Jutland. Her Captain Cdr L W Jones was awarded a posthumous Victoria Cross

Sold to Brazil in March 1920 as Alexandrino Dealenca and renamed in 1927 to Maranhao.
